Session 3

Early in the morning we slowly moved back to the slave hideout and continued our journey of exploration towards south east.

Soon we entered a forested hill, full of interesting views.

An unfortunate event happened where our dog has stumbled upon some kind of old trap, he got injured and would need to recover for a few days, moving him would've been impossible due to degree of injuries. However I wasn't a wizard for nothing. Using the word of 'healing' I have stopped the bleeding and healed the damaging injury(1d4) done to my dog.

Word 'Healing', No Vocation 2 Cost, d6 healing(2->d6), 1 target, decreased cost through usage of a herb spell component to negate increase cost of healing.

I have chosen to cast my most powerful healing spell that until just recently was weaker, but my experience has spurred my growth.

Chosing to make the magic a bit less random I decided to keep its power average. 3 HP heal for 3 HP dmg.

With the miracle of magic done. We moved onwards to north east.

We entered a thick forest.

Finding nothing useful we decided to scavenge some food tomorrow.

2d8+1 vs DC 8 = 11 1d4 days of food = 4

The hunt for food proved excellent, thanks to the thick folliage and amount of animals here we managed to gather three days of food barring the one that will fill our belly tonight.

We moved to north east once again.

The heavily forested area continued on.

Night time arrived as we were finishing exploring the forest surroundings.

As we set up our camp we fail to notice a single hobgoblin moving stealthly, observing us for a moment, he notes our group number and then carries on checking traps for small animals he has set up in the area, making sure to not disturb us.

He was disinclined to fight, much less a bigger group.

After eating our fill over a campfire we noticed that vermin from the forest got into our backpacks and eaten or otherwise spoiled rest of our food. Damned bugs.

In the commotion Edmund has noticed some kind of ruins nearby, not sure how we missed them. Trying to ignore the circumstances of our lack of food for tomorrow we decided to check the ruin before we go to sleep, it will be foraging day tomorrow.

The ruin itself seems to be a village of old.

It seems it was made by Elves. I notice the pecularity of their architecture here.

From what I know the signs which have yet to fade imply it was some kind of schooling building we stand before. I step back in disgust upon noticing hideous rites that were performed inside as the rotten door collapses with Edmund touch.

The ruin is otherwise made out of earthen berms and has gigantic monoliths all around, not sure why. The ground around is featureless, which is bizzare considering elven culture.

Other than that the red carpet inside looks rotten and perhaps bloody if I can notice the difference. The old candles, heretical tools and other ritual like objects litter the place. Hideous.

Edmund enters inward with his shield and javelins raised high as I light his way with a torch from behind. The dog seems wary but otherwise calm.

We almost fall down as we notice that some of the surface has collapsed into sinkholes.

Looking around merely proves that this place is cursed as I see various desecrated and otherwise unburied corpses around us, victims of whatever happened here.

We quickly bid our leave. I don't want to spend here any longer.

As the morning arrives we grogily wake up and begin scavenging for food.

2d8+1 vs DC 8 = 6

There is no food here, only suffering. Edmund and I are okay but our dog whimpers are painful to hear.

We move on to the north west, where the river should be. Perhaps we can get some fish.

Have my sense of orientation failed me? We entered a swamp. Not sure if we can get any food here but we will try.

2d8+1 vs DC 9 = 12 1d4 days of food = 1

We found some barely edible food, it will last us for today.

We move towards south west again. The river must be here. We only have so much water left and no food.

2d8 vs DC 8 = 15 1d4 days of food = 2

We arrived at the river and managed to catch some fish. There is even food for tommorow.

Using this chance we have eaten our fill and decided to explore this area after today.

Nothing was found except lack of food so we started moving towards Woodriver again.

It was full of hills from which we could see the way to Woodriver.

In here we tried to get some food again.

2d8 vs DC 9 = 8

Nothing useful but hunger. We moved towards Woodriver again along the river and entered the town. The journey for the moment will have to wait until we prepare more supplies.
