Slave Hideout:
Session 2
As the morning sunlight wakes us up from the night celebration amidst our first battlefield, we pack up and journey towards south east along the Kuriari River.
There doesn't seem to be anything peculiar about the riverbank, we have explored all around, eaten our rations and also acquired some more water which was boiled above our campfire.
The day passed and we were with just 1 day worth of food left, the dog had a bit more for itself but this day will be a day of foraging.
I hoped our dog keen nose would allow us to track some animals to hunt or perhaps we will be lucky finding some edible plants.
2d8+1 vs DC of 9 = 11 1d4 days of food = 1
We did found something edible, but it merely sated our hunger for the hunting day. It seems we ought to move forward since it will be harder to find food in this area for a time.
We continued moving south east.
Our journey along the river proved uneventful, also our food ran out while the dog had one just for tomorrow.
Just as we prepared to call it a day, the dog noticed something amidst the bushes, hidden from plain sight.
We approached the place carefuly, turned out it was a Slave Hideout of some kind.
The hideout was partially buried by earth and clutter, not one used recently it seemed.
I decided the place was worthless to us but the dog seemed to have started digging the ground for some reason or another.
Unfortunately I didn't have a shovel and something could be buried deeper inside.
Using my word of 'earth' I have decided to call forth magic that will part the earth away and bring whatever is buried right here to the surface.
Earth Word, No Vocation, 1 Cost, Equivalent Effect to usage of a shovel for about a minute.
Indeed, something was buried there. Some kind of cache it seemed?
Edmund stepped forward and brought the old casket outside the hole and used his javelin to pry open the rusted lock.
Inside of the casket was some hidden treasure.
5 gold pieces, 65 silver pieces along with 850 copper pieces of coins. A decent amount I must say.
I took my rightful three fourths of the treasure.
Edmund was pretty satisfied of the loot overall.
On the other hand, the amount of coins, especially copper ones was very great. Instead of continuing our exploration I deemed it approporiate to return to Woodriver, exchange the coins, buy food and continue from here again.
It took us about 5 hours to go back to the town.
We spent the day with free time, rented a room and bought some food. I ended up with roughly 47 gold pieces afterwards.
And so the day was over.
Level up to 2 for Wizard, +1 xp for Edmund.
